Ruben Gonzalez will lead VICA’s next chapter, strengthening advocacy, membership and regional influence.
VAN NUYS, CA, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Valley Industry & Commerce Association (VICA) is pleased to announce the selection of Ruben Gonzalez as its next President and Chief Advocacy Officer, following a comprehensive search for the organization’s next leader.
Gonzalez brings extensive experience in public policy, government affairs, advocacy, and business engagement, along with a deep understanding of the issues affecting employers throughout Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. In his new role, he will lead VICA’s advocacy agenda, strengthen the organization’s relationships with policymakers and business leaders, and continue to grow VICA’s membership, influence, and impact.

As President and Chief Advocacy Officer, Gonzalez will work closely with VICA’s Board of Directors, members, staff, and community partners to advance policies that strengthen the regional economy, support job creation, and improve the business climate. He will also lead efforts to expand VICA’s membership and resources while positioning the organization as a leading voice on the major economic and public policy issues facing the region. Of particular focus will be to grow the impact and relevance of the VICA PAC and focus the VICA foundation on workforce, housing and other challenges impacting the business community and overall quality of life in the San Fernando Valley.
